Rajiv Ranjan Jha becomes Director (Projects) at Power Finance Corporation

Power Finance Corporation Ltd, a Maharatna CPSE and India’s leading non-banking finance company focused on the energy sector in India, announced on October 28 the appointment of Rajiv Ranjan Jha as Director (Projects). Jha previously worked as Executive Director (Projects) at PFC before being elevated to the coveted position. In his new role, he will be responsible for developing and applying sound strategies for venturing into new business avenues and also overseeing ongoing projects funded by the company.

He was previously responsible for the entire loan portfolio of private sector projects under consortium lending with PFC as lead finance institution. He also managed the renewable energy loan portfolio and worked extensively in the area of ​​project appraisal (particularly for independent private energy projects). He has also been associated with the development and allocation of UMPPs for which PFC is the nodal agency. Jha was instrumental in resolving some of the large scale stressed assets with a loan value of around Rs.10,000 crores.
