Power Finance Corporation will provide motorized tricycles to people with orthopedic disabilities

New Delhi [India]Mar 8 (ANI): Power Finance Corporation (PFC), India’s leading power NBFC, announced on Tuesday that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoA) with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) for the distribution of motorized tricycles to people with orthopedic disabilities (Divyangjans) as part of its CSR approach.
In line with the MoA, PFC will provide financial assistance of approximately Rs 4.7 crore to ALIMCO for the distribution of motorized tricycles. These motorized tricycles will be distributed to beneficiaries by organizing a series of distribution camps at block and district level.
The project will be implemented in a phased manner, in which the 1st phase assessment camps will be organized for people with disabilities/Divyangjans, while in the 2nd phase motorized cycles are for distribution, and in the 3rd and final phase, post-distribution support will be given, Power Finance Corporation said in a statement.
The MoA was signed in the presence of RS Dhillon, CMD, PFC and Rajan Sehgal, President and CEO of ALIMCO.
The project will contribute to providing more rights and benefits to people with disabilities by envisioning an inclusive and empowering environment.
“The main objective of the review of this initiative is to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities and to help them obtain modern, sophisticated and scientifically manufactured aids and devices, standard, to promote physical rehabilitation, social and psychological by reducing the effects of people with disabilities while improving their economic potential,” said PFC.(ANI)
