APOC partners with Willis Lease Finance Corporation for the teardown of the 737-800

APOC Aviation is collaborating with Willis Aviation Services Limited (“WASL”) in APOC’s first partial project which will take place at its facilities at Teesside Airport in the UK.

The B737-800 airframe was acquired by APOC through a major Dutch investment manager, Arena Aviation Capital. APOC has signed a framework agreement for this and future dismantling at Teesside Airport with experienced end-of-life solutions provider, WASL.

Jasper van den Boogaard, VP Airframe Acquisition & Trading at APOC, explains that active project management and close cooperation are essential to the success of a project of this type. “We highly appreciate the services provided by WASL and its team of distribution specialists.

“The project has gone very well from the start and we are working closely with the team on site.

“Our full involvement at all times means that our customers can benefit from acquiring parts directly from the project.”

“We are honored to support industry leaders like Arena and APOC and that they have entrusted their assets with our Part 145 MRO services and dedicated dismantling team in our newly renovated hangar,” said James Cobbold, sales manager at Willis Lease.

“Thanks to our experienced and dedicated engineers as well as APOC’s expertise and knowledge of the industry, the project was a success, supplying APOC with specific components when needed.

Van den Boogaard adds, “We have entered into several agreements with Arena to date and it is always a pleasure to do business with them and their team of professionals. We look forward to continuing this positive relationship in the future.
